About

Established in 1984, Biglands Joinery Ltd is a family‑run manufacturer and installer based just north of Kendal, bringing over 40 years of joinery expertise across Cumbria.

Working from our fully equipped workshop and machine shop, we deliver projects of all sizes using high‑quality timbers including softwood, hardwood, Accoya, European oak, Sapele and Douglas Fir. Our work includes the manufacture and installation of timber doors, frames, windows and porches etc for domestic and trade customers.

We take pride in careful craftsmanship, customer care and responsible material sourcing, combining traditional methods with modern machinery to produce strong, beautifully finished bespoke joinery.

Bespoke Kitchen Unit - Manufactured from Moisture resistant Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) finished in a Farrow and Ball paint chosen by the customer. Complete with drawers, doors and shelving.

Accoya External Front Door and Frame - Accoya external door and frame with T&G boards and drip hood to the bottom of the door. Ironmongery was antique black and the door and frame was given a light oak sealant as per the customers choice.
European Oak Door and Frame - Front - Style of Door: Tongue and Grooved boarded, Ledged and Braced Door complete with Door frame and back mould. Constructed out of: European Oak Finished in a Osmo Hard Wax Oil - Clear Matt Ironmongery: Traditional Black Thumb Latch

New Internal Glaze Oak Veneered Doors - The original white panelled door was replaced with the Oak veneered glazed door, complete with ironmongery all doors were purchased by the customer and fitted by ourselves
Accoya Stable Door and Frame - Bespoke Accoya Timber Stable Door and Frame. The Stable Door is equally divided with the top section glazed with toughened double-glazed units. The lower section was constructed using Tongue and Groove boards. The customer chose antique black ironmongery in keeping with the traditional property. We prepped the door in the workshop before fitting, we then applied 2 further top coats of Teknos paint after installation. The door and frame were completely manufactured at our workshop.

Ironmongery used: Stainless steel ball bearing hinges, Five lever mortice cylinder lock complete with Euro barrel, 1 pair of Euro lever lock handles.

Accoya window manufacturing stage - Accoya timber has been used to manufacture this bespoke window. Site template taken before manufacturing the window to ensure correct fit once the original window has been removed.

Completed Accoya Dorma Window with 2 Side Opening Lights - Accoya Dorma Window - Internal View and manufactured: Accoya timber which was then primed and top coated in the workshop prior to installation. Once fitted the window had 2 final coats of gloss paint. Window fitted with double glazed units.
